The day’s hairstyle and work swag

BY ONEIKA RAYMOND

In the interest of being super indulgent, I present you with pics of my hair and outfit this early morn:

Three things:

1) It is super cold in HK! Only 6 degrees Celcius this morning, which is pretty darn cold considering it was 25+ degrees Celcius just last week! I had to pull out the heavy artillery- thick sweater dress, stockings, boots, and a long coat (not pictured). Brr!

2) We have our staff Christmas party tonight so I figured I would actually attempt to style my hair for it. I twisted it in these bantu knots (kinda looks like Hellraiser, no?) and will let it out tonight in the hopes of having curls.

3) I just posted a new Youtube vid talking about my hair and showing off the hairstyle above, so if you want to hear my thick Canadian accent, check me out here!

Only 1 more day of work before Xmas vacation and only 2.5 more days until I leave on a jet plane to Germany!

  • Cute video, nice knots! With the locks, can you grow your hair back out natural or do you have to start over?

  • I've always loved your bumps. I used to rock those at different times when I was younger and I am always looking for times to do it these days. I think next time I am on vacation I will do it. so cute. And, your outfit is dead pretty.

  • @Global- Thanks so much, lady!!!

@Samantha- I think that some people with dreads can actually pick them out if they don't want them anymore. With my texture of hair though (super super kinky) I can't… So if I get tired of the locks I just have to cut them off and start over with loose hair!

@Rhona- Thanks! I like it because it's a "no fuss, no muss" hairdo that looks nice and last for a while. And thanks for the compliment on the outfit! The dress, I got Canada at a store called Dynamite… Do you know it? I LOVE LOVE LOVE their winter stuff!

@Ugomma- Thank you! How do yours look? Do you have any pics online?
