By now, you probably know that my jaunt to Germany this past May was in partnership with the German National Tourist Office and focused on exploring the links between Deutschland and my home country of Canada.
I thus filmed, hosted, and produced three videos as part of this effort:
- One video chronicling the journey of German immigrants to Canada;
- Another showcasing Germany’s Fairy Tale Route and revealing the origins of and inspiration for the Brothers Grimm’s most popular stories;
- And a third video explaining how the city of Stuttgart has had a huge impact on both what we drive and what we drink in The Great White North (as well as in many other parts of North America!)
(This is my roundabout way of telling you to check them out if you haven’t yet *wink*)
However, I was also commissioned to produce two additional videos that were separate from this theme. The first of these was about Frankfurt, Germany’s fifth largest city. Best known for its busy international airport and its status as a financial and economic hub (the headquarters of the European Central Bank is found here after all), most strangers to the city would say that it’s all “business” and perhaps a bit boring, uptight, and straight-laced.
But scratch beneath the surface a bit and you’ll find, as I did, that this is entirely not the case. Watch my video to see why Frankfurt is crazy, sexy, and cool!
