Guess what?! I’m home! I flew into Toronto a few hours ago and hit the ground running. But in truth, I am exhausted. I left Chile last night at 10pm, took an overnight flight to Dallas, Texas, where I arrived in the early morn. After gorging myself on a stale McDonald’s Egg McMuffin breakfast and indulging in the consumption of few trashy gossip magazines purchased in the airport, I embarked on the last leg of my journey, boarding a plane to Toronto.
Now that my trip is over, I can safely say that I really adore Chile. I saw only a bit of this vast, extremely diverse country, but I loved it. I raved about it to my mom, Liebling, and anyone else within earshot.
Needless to say, I can’t wait to share the rest of my trip with you. More Chile updates are forthcoming.
But first, I need you to help me. I have a wedding to attend on Sunday (my cousin is getting married!) and I am in a bit of a pickle with regards to what to wear. Could you, dear reader, perhaps provide me with a bit of input?
I am hesitating between two dresses. Both are Karen Millen dresses that I purchased a few months ago while living in Hong Kong, so I was able to find photos of them online. One is silver and one is red (although I could only find the black version of the dress online). They are both ruffle-y.

As for dress #2, I have reservations because, even though it’s fire engine red, I worry that it may be a bit boring. It is made of a crepe-type material that has absolutely no sheen. I really love the dress, but I’m wondering if maybe I should wear something that has a little more “oomph”.

The first dress is the winner. It's so classy and definitely fit for a wedding. And I don't know if you're going to attend the reception but it can definitely serve the two purposes. Third vote for the first dress.

In answer to your question about the empanadas, I can't have them anymore cause I'm gluten intolerant 🙁 …
I would say red in a heartbeat *if* it wasn't a wedding…you need to look beautiful, but not take the attention away from the bride!
I'm gonna say go with the red. You have time to get some hot silver shoes and accessories to really umph it up. Plus, this color will look hot with your completion and look amazing for this time of year.
That silver dress is stunning. I'd go with that–the ruffle is "wow" but the silver is elegant. I don't know about red at an (American) wedding. (I realize you're Canadian..or I think you are…so that's why I needed the parenthetical.)

Silver!! You can always fix the cleavage issue with tiny safety pins, double sided tape or something.

I'm a ruffly, girly girl so I like both dresses but I agree with the consensus, the silver is the statement maker. I'd wear my hair up or back so it won't compete with the ruffles and pin the neckline if it's a little too low.

Bad news I'm afraid. Our Indian Summer is very much history and it is now quite chilly. The temperatures haven't really dropped and the sun comes out, but there is a fierce and icy wind! But you come from Toronto! I'm sure our winters will be a walk in the park for you.
