So I’m in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with shoddy internet at our hotel that I paid a ridiculous amount of money for. I’ve been in the country about, oh, 6 hours, but yall know how much I love sharing my first impressions and snap observations (check my posts on Dublin and Edinburgh) so here it go:
-Cambodia is hot and humid as all get out. I soaked through my tank top in about 15 minutes in the sun. New record.
-Cambodians are friendly. Wide smiles are common. Me likey.
-Phnom Penh looks a lot like Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
-Lots of crazy driving and mopeds and traffic. Not so much pollution as far as I can see though.
-Cambodians are the long-lost cousin of Africans. Wides noses and cocked bottoms. And some are as dark as I am!
-Everybody is friendly. Choruses of hellos have followed our group wherever we went.
-My hotel room in Phnom Penh is bigger than my entire flat in Hong Kong (only mildly exaggerating). Needless to say, I am depressed.

I can just imagine the love. The Cambodians that I have met inlife are very kind. I am laughing at your comment about the wide noises and bottoms 🙂 So true. Can't wait to read more.
