Checking out all inclusive holidays in Egypt

When booking your all inclusive holiday to Egypt it’s worth checking what’s included in the deal. This way there will be no surprises and you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Food and drink

We know that the big plus of an all inclusive holiday is that all the food and drink is included. Just to qualify this, the drink part is usually soft drinks and local alcohol. If you must have a Gordon’s Gin or Smirnoff vodka you will have to pay for the privilege.

Food is usually served buffet style in a main restaurant with possibly only a Continental breakfast option, but with freshly cooked eggs (optional). Lunch will probably be served by the pool and you’ll be back to the buffet for dinner.

If there are other restaurants on site, there maybe a surcharge for dining in them instead of having the buffet.

Of course anywhere off site you will have to pay the normal going rates for food and drink!

Entertainment

Most hotels have nightly entertainment of some kind and they often offer night time excursions as part of the deal. A favourite is the Bedouin Feast Night in the desert. Go on don your best sparkly harem pants and enjoy. Seriously though you’ll need to take something warm with you as it can be chilly in the desert at night!

Some hotels boast a casino on site ensuring you can be parted from your money or just have some fun depending on your perspective. It is also somewhere to escape to if the Egypt weather gets a bit too hot for you.

Kid’s Club

Where hotels have a Kid’s Club with entertainment for the youngsters, this is usually all part of the package.

Sport and facilities

Many hotels in the Egyptian resorts offer several sports activities as part of the deal. These will obviously include one or more swimming pools and might include beach volleyball, beach football, tennis, table tennis, basketball, water polo and more.

Some facilities will incur a charge, such as playing tennis on a floodlit court at night, using the diving centre and often using the gym or fitness centre and associated facilities.

Every hotel is different, so if you know you will use a particular facility it is worth checking whether this is chargeable or not before you go.

.Still you can be sure of the sunshine – it’s free. Most hotels on the coast have their own private beaches for you to enjoy, usually with loungers and towels thrown in.
