Hong Kong vlog: Central, Soho & the Midlevels Escalator

BY ONEIKA RAYMOND

A video log of Hong Kong’s Central district.

Yet another vlog!  I’m really enjoying making these and I hope that you’re really enjoying watching them! Here’s another glimpse into my life in Hong Kong.  This time, I take you through Central, the district where you can best see the intersection of Chinese and Western cultures.  This is also the district where “old” meets “new”: traditional wet markets and low buildings are juxtaposed by slick yuppie eateries and skyscrapers.  Pedestrian and vehicular traffic are also at their thickest here, and the maze of streets and walkways (including the massive Midlevels Escalator, the longest outdoor escalator in the world) seems to stretch on forever.  Have a look to see what I mean!

What do you think of this area of Hong Kong? Could you live here? Also, what type of vlogs would you like to see in the future? I’m taking requests!
