We got married! We’re in Austria!
Things have been quiet on the blog because… surprise! (or maybe not) Liebling and I got married last week in an intimate ceremony in Berlin!
Despite the wedding being fairly low-key, wedding prep, tending to guests (my mom and auntie flew over for the nuptials), and other travel (him and I spent five days in Bordeaux at the end of June, followed by me travelling to Toronto and New York City for two weeks thereafter), kept me ridiculously busy and unable to find the time to blog about my adventures. Apologies!
After a whirlwind summer vacation, I find myself on the last leg — honeymooning it up in Austria! We decided to road-trip, driving down from Berlin (in record time — driving at high speeds on the autobahn is no joke!), and basing ourselves in Mondsee, a small lakeside town found in the scenic Salzkammergut region.
This is my third time visiting the country, but I have never been to the Salzkammergut region. My thoughts: so far so good! More details later, but in the meantime some pics from my phone (which totally don’t do this place justice).
At any rate, this was just a quick dispatch from the road. I’m exceptionally happy and discovering that wedding bells and travel are the best combination! Auf Wiedersehen!

Congratulations love! Been following you since you were Nikita ;). I have a friend in Austria, who’s been (playfully) begging me to come see her. One of the best advice I’ve gotten this year is to visit a place not on your bucket list. And if you add in these pics, I think I’ll give her a call. Enjoy the honeymoon!

So Austria. Yes, I’ve been to Austria a few times. It’s a small unique country where you can just hop in a train, or the car and you’re basically there. At least, from Germany you are LOL! The best experience I had was that of mushroom-hunting. It was great and so much fun!
