I took on the foolish, over-ambitious task of going through my closet today and trying to cull, organize, and reduce my massive clothes collection, in the hopes of facilitating the packing extravaganza that will define my upcoming trip to Europe and impending move to Hong Kong. I’m not gonna lie: undertaking such task is stressing me out a tad. I have a ridiculous amount of clothes and a reputation for being a pack-rat. Last year, when I was moving back to Canada after having lived in Mexico for 11 months, I was appalled and disgusted at the sheer amount of clothes, shoes, belts, hand-bags, and other accessories that I had amassed during my stay. Surely enough to clothe the Jon and Kate plus 8 clan two times over. But, under the pressure of a luggage weight limit, and severely reigned in by the bursting seams of my suitcases, I did what was necessary, and left behind 5 large GLAD-brand garbage bags of clothes. It felt good, especially since I had left them behind for our muchacha (the dear, sweet woman that the school employed to clean our house every Saturday morning), who had teenage daughters who were my size. Much of what I left behind was fairly new, with many items still in possession of the price tag. Because, yes, dear readers, I am indeed a shopaholic.
I find myself in the same situation this year. New year, more clothes, stricter luggage weight restrictions with which to take them. So I feel the need to sort and decompress my wardrobe. A harrowing task, hence my taking a break and writing this blog post. Sigh.

Heyyy. It's true I have totally been MIA and planning on getting back into the blogging thang, but just haven't felt like I've had time lately!! You've got a lot of crazy adventures coming up, though what with France, Hong Kong and clothing Jon&Kate plus 8 (hehe, love that show!) Just wanted to give you a shout out and let you know I'm still following your blog, even though mine is starting to collect cobwebs and dust!!

Hey!! What AM I up to? That is a good question considering I haven't posted in yearsss! I know, I know…blog update will come one of these days! I'm just looking forward to finishing up the school year and then heading back to the states for a month or so. I'm hoping to come back next year, but don't know for sure yet (of course), so croise those doigts for me!
