The skyline. Even on a hazy night like this one. I took these shots while on the ferry that runs between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui (two areas of Hong Kong separated by a body of water).
I feel like my last post may have been perceived as “hating” on HK and Asia in general. Twas not my intention! The region is awesome, beautiful, and intriguing, despite some of the annoyances I noted last time. I am grateful for having the opportunity to experience it first hand. So stayed tuned for a series of “Asia/Hong Kong Love” posts coming soon and beginning with this one!

You speak the truth, my friend, there's nothing wrong with that. Every expat has their likes and disikes in their home country and guess what..we're ALLOWED!
And man, what a freaking skyline. That's one of those things that must be even more incredible in person.
It is gorgeous!! It's really breathtaking in person! The fog/mist really takes away from the effect but it's still very pretty.
@Rhona and Mamacita: You know what? I guess I feel like someone from Hong Kong/Asia could potentially feel wronged by some of my observations… But you're right, as a tax-paying resident of the place, I have the right to say what I want!
I really liked Hong Kong too, although I'm not sure I could live there. I only spent 6 hours there though on a layover between Paris and Auckland. But it was lovely to take the train into the city and then the ferry across (and it was so cheap). The food was great and the sites beautiful. But too much of a city for me.. I'm a small town, country girl and too many people freaks me out!
@kiwi- I've definitely gotten used to living in a ridiculously busy and over-populated city like this, but I know that I could never do it long-term. It really wears on my after a while!
