This is what happens when you get bored and scissor-happy on a Saturday morning:
Bangs! Oh yes, I so did. I now have dread-locked bangs, just like Rick James.
You may remember this post, where I lamented on how sucky trying to grow out your hair is. This “not exactly long”, but “not exactly short” stage is killing me. So, fresh out of the shower, I took my trusty pair of scissors and got to work. The result isn’t too bad, but I entirely forgot that it’s a sin to cut curly hair when wet- when my hair dried I was left with a fringe quite a bit shorter than I had intended. Thank goodness I only did minimal cutting in the back instead of going for a blunt bob I thought about doing… I probably would have turned out looking like Raggedy Ann- not a good look!
So, anyway, I’ve got bangs. No regrets (yet)!

I have always thought about trying out dreads but I like the variety of being just plain ol' natural. I can straighten, get braids, twists, braidouts, twistouts etc 🙂 It must be different when your abroad though! Especially when your in a homogenous country!

@liveletlive: You know what, dreads (depending on the size) are super versatile as well! That's what I love about them. I can also braid them up, do braidouts and all of that, although most of the time, I'm to lazy to do it LOL… Luckily, I found somebody here to do my hair!

Hehe @ Rick James! They look okay to me, though what happened to the back of your hair? Did you trim that too? Bangs may actually be good for your face shape and look if you have length in the back. Please don't do any more cutting!!! Anyway, I hope all is well and you're enjoying your last few months in HK.

@Samantha- I trimmed the back as well (it's up in a ponytail in this pic) but it wasn't too drastic of a cut.
