travel storiesMarch 3, 2011 Sunny day in HK Beautiful, sunny days like this make me love life and think that I could live in Hong Kong forever… …And almost makes me not mind when the extreme winds blow my hair around so much that I look like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket. Almost. Don't worry; soon you will be together in UK!!! Stephanie says: March 3, 2011 at 8:33 am Gah, I can't hold it any longer! I've been lurking but I wanted to tell you that I am a fan, LOL. But my true reason for coming out of lurkdom is to ask: how do you maintain your locks in Asia? Do you retighten them yourself? How often have you retightened and how have you found products that work for you? Sorry for all the questions but I am planning on getting locked up and teaching in Asia which could pose a problem. Thanks in advance and you guys are such a cute couple! Melissa says: March 3, 2011 at 10:30 am Don't get used to the sun too much. That will prepare you for life here, jokes. K not really it hasn't been properly sunny here yet. Dying for spring to start 🙁 Rhona says: March 3, 2011 at 12:26 pm HG looks so pretty right now. I would take that over here. it is frreezzzinnggg now…as i am sure you are well aware of. tanyaintransition says: March 3, 2011 at 3:31 pm The sun disappeared from Nice while I wasn't looking. (It was sunny in Paris though. Hmmm…) Anyway, I saw your tweet only today; yesterday was a little bit of a write-off for me. To answer your question, I retighten them myself. I latch as opposed to twist as I realized that I was washing product down the drain using the twist method. I use a hairpin 'cuz it was handy. To your point, I was frustrated too about two years ago. My hair may have been around the length yours is now. I wanted to shave it all off. Now, I love it. It's easy to maintain and the length is there too. Deidre says: March 3, 2011 at 8:26 pm Look at that beautiful day! (and of course the gorgeous people!) Oneika says: March 4, 2011 at 5:51 am @Nathanz: Thanks, girl! @Stephanie: Hi Stephanie! I get them done at a salon here in HK, the girl here latches them… I'm too lazy to do them myself! I usually get them done every 2 months or so… I don't really use any products, just a bit of castor oil to moisturize! I'm super low maintenance in that regard… lol.. Thinking of freeforming though! @Melissa: Oh no!! So the rumours about nasty, grey London weather are true then? Say it aint so! @Rhona: So I've heard! I do NOT envy you. @Tanya: Looks like the sunshine follows you wherever you go, lol. Wow you maintain yourself, eh? I bought a latch hook but have been too lazy to get mine done.. You are an inspiration! I lurve your hair 🙂 I'm definitely at the stage where I am hating mine a bit though, it's still so short! And the locks aren't as thick as I'd like but I have very fine hair to begin with! @Deirdre: Awww!! Thanks!! Happy Homemaker UK says: March 5, 2011 at 4:03 pm Ooh, what beautiful photos! Lei says: March 7, 2011 at 4:22 pm I am curious as to what shoes you ended up buying for your Liebling nikita_the_traveller says: March 8, 2011 at 12:02 am @Happy Homemaker: Love your name! Thank you! @Lei: you know what??! We didn't end up getting him any shoes- he didn't find anything he liked! The search continues… Aron says: March 8, 2011 at 1:43 am Looks awesome! 🙂 Mamacita Chilena says: March 8, 2011 at 3:15 am You and Leibling are the freaking hottest couple, you know that right?! And I like the little bit of your bag I can see in the picture, it's so colorful and cute! Oneika says: March 9, 2011 at 12:06 am @Aron: it was, but not the weather is back to being rainy and grey.. 🙁 @Mamacita: Aww, thank you! But I really think the distinction should go to you and your man… How about we take the hottest couple in Asia title and you take the hottest couple in South America title?! LOL. The bag I bought at a roadside market here in HK- I love it but don't wear it often enough! I need to! Comments are closed.
