I threw my name into the ring and was bestowed with the honour of wrangling 120 twelve-year-olds for the better part of a week.
We are going from April 26th to 30th, which gives me just enough time to get my documents in for a new Chinese visa. The trip also comes at a perfect time because it is right in between when my family comes to visit in April and I get back the day before the Liebling comes to visit me.
Next stop, the Great Wall of China!! Woohoo!!

Hey Nikita, I was wondering if I could ask you a question.. or two. I know that you taught English in Moneterey, Mexico a couple of years ago. My friend who lives in California wants to try teaching English in Mexico too.. which leads me to the questions: What program did you use? Did you have to get the TESOL? If you could answer these questions I would really appreciate it 🙂

elizabeth: Thanks for reading! Yup, I taught in Monterrey during 2007-2008… While I taught English, it wasn't ESL… It was English Lit… Grade 9 English to be exact! I was teaching at an international school that was based on the American high school curriculum. So I taught novels like "To Kill A MockingBird", etc… Basically just like how a high school English class in the States or Canada would be… I have a teaching degree that certifies me to teach English and French from Grades 7 to 12…
However, that being said, there are tons of jobs teaching ESL worldwide… I think for most of them you need some sort of certificate like the TESOL but not sure..

Hi just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly.
I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.
After I originally left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now
whenever a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.
