I’ve been in the blogging game for a while and have realized that without all of yall, I am nothing.

I’ve talked about why I love reading and writing blogs- it’s all about the connection, and I thrive on meeting new people (even if it’s virtually!) and trading stories.

So that’s why I’m SUPER AMPED that the kind ladies over at SITS decided to feature moi and my (sometimes poorly written) ramblings.

WELCOME my SITStahs!

My name is Oneika and I am probably one of the few almost-29 year olds (it’s my birthday on August 30th!) to not dread turning the big 3-0 in a little over a year. I sometimes go by the alias Nikita because it is easier to pronounce and also sounds sexier. I like travel, chicken sandwiches from McDonalds, and striking up conversation with randoms. I don’t like heights, mean people, and long bus rides (I get carsick, but oh well).

I am Canadian but because I don’t like to stay home (ever), I have lived in France, Mexico, and Hong Kong for 5 out of the last 8 years. I just finished up working two years in Hong Kong!

I am a high school French and English teacher (I would like to think the coolest ever), and am moving to London, UK in October to be with my lovely boyfriend, who is German and has a super cute accent.

  • Happy SITS Day! Truly jealous of your freedom to travel! Once in a while I get to travel with my husband on a business trip, but not often. 4 children keep me pretty much home bound. I lived in Germany as a child for 2 years and loved our little weekend trips. Best wishes on your upcoming South America trip and your move to England!

  • I do not know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else experiencing
    problems with your blog. It looks like some of the text within your content are running off the
    screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well?
    This may be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.

    on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment
    is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.

    Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me from that service?
