As my sudden frequent blogging indicates, Liebling has once again flown off into the sunset, so I have a lot more time on my hands.
On May 1st he once again found himself on Asian soil, bearing a number of gifts for little ol’ me *swoon*, and a huge smile when I picked him up at the airport.
He had flown in from London on a 12-hour night flight, but as the picture shows, was really no worse for wear. I, however, was feeling not so great, after arriving back to Hong Kong from Beijing late the night before his arrival, and after dealing with a horribly violent case of food poisoning that struck me in Beijing less than 24-hours previous.
So it was with a quesy stomach and stilted gait that I greeted my man in the airport. But that the best thing about being reunited with a significant other… They’ll be sure to take care of you if you’re not well!! 
Luckily, I soon felt better and the next 10 days were fun and filled with awesomeness. Liebling and I frequented all of our old haunts, ate tons of good food, and did the tourist thing (he WAS on vacay after all). While I went to work every day he slept in and met up with friends for lunch. As a sort of good omen, the weather, which had been ugly and grey for weeks, was suddenly absolutely glorious for the first few days of Liebling’s stay. We picnicked on rooftop patio of one of the major malls in Hong Kong, and took the ferry over to the surrounding islands in HK, eager to take advantage of the sunshine that is all too foreign to Hong Kong. We went to Discovery Bay for lunch one day and hung out on the man-made beach.
We also did tons of shopping. Mostly Liebling. I love shopping for boys, too, so it was a good time going from shop to shop as Liebling got his “swag” on. I even took pictures to document these shopping adventures.
On one of the last days of Liebling’s stay, we went up to the Peak, one of the highest points of Hong Kong, where you can get a view of the whole island (though most days it is really too smoggy to see much). While it was overcast the day we went the view was surprisingly decent.
All in all, it was a great visit and I’m really looking forward to seeing Liebling again in London this summer!

@ Frenchie: Thanks! I didn't think I was capable and it has been hard at times but thank goodness for Skype! I think it's also been really good that he has 6 weeks vacation a year and I teach so I have 3+ months off a year… Which means that, in theory, we can see each other fairly often…
