I had the greatest time in Budapest, which far exceeded my expectations. It rained every day I was here, but the architecture is gorgeous, and I met tons of cool people (both foreigners and Hungarians). I did a free walking tour, took in a music festival with authentic Hungarian/Slovakian performances, took a boat ride along the Danube at night, went out to a Hungarian night club and partied with fellow travellers and enthusiastic Hungarians, scoped out castles, crossed antique bridges, and ate a lot of Turkish kebabs (I know, I know! But that was the cheapest food around, lol).
