I love Mexico, and I am a sucker for colonial cities. So no surprise that Guanajuato, Mexico is one of my favourite places in the world.
There s something about pretty buildings and vibrant colours that just make me happy. I travelled solo to Guanajuato for a weekend during a trip to Mexico in 2009. I travelled 9 hours by bus (from Monterrey) to get here and 10 hours by bus to get back- but it was so worth it!

Nice, I've been to Mexico but never Guanajuato. Colonial cities definitely have a unique charm. This pic reminds me of Bermuda – it's just missing the water 😉
Beautiful! I have never been to Guanajuato but seeing this photo makes me want to go. I am going to be living in Antigua, Guatemala for the summer and I can't wait for all the colourful buildings and Colonial architecture…
Guanajuato is good for walking, as the whole city is interesting, its atmosphere, streets, squares and views of the surroundings, the main thing is not to try to get around everything at once.
