I apologize for the lack of pictures!! I just haven’t had the opportunity to upload any- Liebling and I are on a Lembongan, which is this tiny, deserted(ish) island that just so happens to have a very week internet signal. The beautiful hotel we’re staying at hasn’t had internet for two days and just now I was able to quickly sneak over to this little internet cafe so that I could quickly check my emails and post a quick update.
So… Lembongan… teeny tiny island that is idyllic but SUPER quiet. Liebling and I haven’t done much except eat, lie around the pool, and sun ourselves. Yesterday we rented bikes for the day (for only 3 euros!) and biked to this mangrove where we took a boat-ride in this everglade/swamp thing. Very authentic. Today, we’ve rented a scooter and are going to tour around this little island- apparently there’s this amazing beach called Dream Beach that is absolutely stunning. We’re here for one more night and then will take a boat to our next leg of our journey. We’re going to none other than Ubud- the cultural capital of Bali which played a front and center role in the book/movie “Eat Pray Love”. I hear that the shopping is to DIE for… so as you can imagine, I’m super excited and Liebling is…well… not so excited. LOL. At least he can hold my bags for me- I’m sure I’ll buy tons of clothing and jewellery… 🙂
