Something ain’t right here. I spotted the above in my local Tesco supermarket here in London. Can you tell me what’s wrong?
Somebody took a bite out of the bagel and left it in the store.
The bagel cost 42 pence.
I’ve seen some pretty crazy things during my short time in London, but this one here had me scratching my head in puzzlement and incredulity. Somebody took a bite out a bagel whilst in the supermarket and left it to languish alongside its uneaten brethren. This somebody must have been really hungry. And pretty hard up for cash…?
I am flabbergasted, astonished, and speechless.
Who do you think is the culprit? Have you ever encountered something this ridiculous?

I'm crossing my fingers that it was just some kid who thought it would be cute to take a bite out of it and run.
I once stuck my tongue on the freezer in a supermarket as a dare from my cousin when I was younger, my tongue burned for days! lol

HAHAHAHA! Never have I seen such or thing. And if I have, I probably ignored it thinking it was a transient/homeless person or someone who had no home training. Good stuff.
oh yes. a pram too close to the bagel shelf and hop, a small fist pops out to take a bite! Mum probably didn't even notice, even after they put it back!

Is it weird that the first thing I thought when I saw the bagel pic was not "eww, that's gross!" but, "mmmm, I want a bagel…"

People do all kinds of selfish stuff though. I have seen opened boxes of chocolate, dumped starbucks cups on shop shelves and folks reaching inside bags of grapes to 'test' and taste them..

The culprit is that you're shopping at Tesco 🙂 Get thee to Sainsbury's or Waitrose! Yes, I am a total supermarket snob, I admit it.

I have unfortunately seen things like this. People in markets sometimes graze through the groceries before paying or sometimes can't pay. Evidence like that bagel shows what's going on when people aren't watching.

@Fly Girl: It just seems so sad that somebody would do something like that! I really hope it was some kind of a dare or stupid joke, because if it was someone who was truly hungry and couldn't afford to buy the bagel I would feel really terrible.
The bite seems too little for a hungry mouth, so it's either one of those sickos who get a thrill out of doing crap like this, or a child .
